Rules

1) Always reduce the double digits for individual names to single digits before adding all the numbers or a name together.
Example: Wiinifred Jane Alexander
Winifred: 5 + 9 + 5 + 9 + 6 + 9 + 5 + 4 = 52; then: 5 + 2 = 7 this is the numerology equivalent for Winifred
Jane: 1 + 1 + 5 + 5 = 12; then: 1 + 2 = 3 this is the numerology equivalent for Jane
Alexander: 1 + 3 + 5 + 6 + 1 + 5 + 4 + 5 + 9 = 39; then 3 + 9 = 12; then 1 + 2 = 3 this is the numerological equivalent for Alexander
To find the numerological equivalent for the whole name”
7 + 3 + 3 = 13; then reduce the final answer to a single digit: 1 + 3 = 4 This is the numerological equivalent for the name Winifred Jane Alexander.

Exceptions to the rules:

  • Don’t reduce the numbers 11 or 22. Use them in you calculations and final answers as they are.
  • “Y” is sometimes considered a vowel and sometimes considered a consonant. In general, it is a consonant when the “Y’ makes an “E” or an “I” sound, example: “Lynn” or when it makes the vowel before it long as in “Gray”or Gray. It is a consonant when it makes it’s own sound, as in “Yes”. It is a consonant when it follows a vowel and the vowel it follows is the sound pronounced as you say the word. Example: say – “Y” is a consonant,
  • W is a vowel when it makes the vowel before it sound like a long “O” as in show.

The Life Path

The Life Path is the most significant aspect of your personal numerology. It is an overview of what you will experience: your opportunities and your challenges.

To find your Life Path:
Add together the birth day, the birth month, the birth year in this way

June 15, 1992:
June + 15 + 1992
6 (June is the 6th month) + 6 (1=5=6) + 1+9+9+2 =
6 +6 + 21 =
6 +6 + 3 (2+1=3) = 15 add the 1 +5 to get a single digit
Life Path is = 6

The Expression
The expression is the total of all the letters of the birth name.
It is an indication of the destiny or potential of a person, place or thing.
It reveals your goals in life and your history at the time of your birth. This includes all the evolutionary steps that took place in order that your consciousness could arrive in the form of you.
The Expression shows your talents, your characteristics, and where more focus is needed to reach your potential.
Your Expression is how you express yourself and to some degree, why.
Understand your expression to eliminate your shortcomings, utilize your strengths and to bring balance your life.

Most people also have Minor Expressions. These are the casual names they use socially and any name changes they adopt later in life.The minor expressions modify, support and sometimes accentuate the expression of the original birth name. The original birth name is always the underlying vibration.

If the name on the birth certificate is spelled differently than the spelling used by the parents, it is usually the parents spelling represents the actual Expression. A misspelling on a birth certificate does not count, unless it is then used by everyone from birth on.

How to find your Expression:

  • Write out your full name and write the numerological equivalents under each letter of your name.
  • Add the numbers of each name, reducing the sum to a single digit, unless the sum is an 11 or 22, leave these numbers as they are. 11 and 22 are called master numbers.
  • Then, add together the sums of each individual name. Reduce the answer to a single digit, unless the number is an 11 or 22. Leave 11 and 22 as they are.

Karma

Karmic Lessons are indicated by any missing letters in your name. A Lesson is something you need to learn to do.

Karmic strengths are indicated when a letter is repeated two or more times in your name. A Strength is something you are to use easily, in a balanced way – not overpowering. Allow it to be part of you, let it show.

How to find your Karma:

Write out your full birth name, with the corresponding numbers under each letter.

Count how many times each letter appears in your name.

Example:   Sally Beth Weston

S=1             B=2         W=5             There are: #3 one’s                #1 Sevens

a=1              e=5          e=5                             #3 two’s                 #1 Eights

l=3                t=2           s=1                            #2 Three’s                0 Nines

y=7                              0=6                            #5 Fives

n=5                            #1 Sixes

Sally needs to develop the 4 & 9 aspects.

Sally has available & developed already: the talents and strengths of 1. 2, 3, 5

Karmic Debt Numbers

These are in addition to any missing numbers you may find using the Karmic Formula above.

They are: 13, 14, 16, 19

If the numbers of your birthdate (The Life Path) or of your name (The Expression) add up to any of the above numbers, it means that this area has special needs that must be addressed. Exactly what needs to be done, depends upon where it shows up in your chart.

Very Generally:

13: There will be frequent obstacles to overcome. It’s entirely possible to succeed, this isn’t a total block What it is calling for is focus, discipline, persistence,

14: You can expect the unexpected and frequent changes. This vibration can contribute to a wonderful life, certainly it will not be dull! the important thing is to maintain control of your emotions, remain somewhat flexible, and keep focusing on your goals. Really, stay organized and orderly and optimistic!

16: This lesson involves humility and gratitude. Let go of your ego for the better good. It’s OK for you to let old structures dissolve or end, new things can and will be built. Use your intuition to discover new, more beneficial paths.

19: Here, you are learning what independence really is all about. It’s facing your challenges and getting through them successfully and learning to be free enough to accept the support and assistance of others. Really,

Life seems to be all about balance, fulfillment and evolution. We have talents and dreams and then there’s that thing called Karma. In both astrology and numerology there are formulas for discerning the Karmic responsibilities of individuals. When people hear the Big “K” word, they usually think of punishment or restitution.

But what is it really? All we can be absolutely sure of is that Karma indicates one of two things:

a strength we have that should be utilized

a characteristic or area we are weak in; something we need to develop

It’s not a sentence or a free pass. It’s a suggestion for greater fulfillment.
